DESCRIPTION

Tired of the cold winter months? How about a trip to Chile? We spent two weeks in Chile in December and explored the north of the country - with summer temperatures. The capital Santiago is ideal for discovering the breathtaking landscape of Chile on a round trip. Chile was the last country on our six week trip through South America. We started in Brazil, crossed the border to Argentina at Iguazu and finally drove from there by bus over the Andes to Santiago de Chile.

  • General Information

Santiago de Chile has a very special charm, because the city is surrounded by Andean mountains. It has an excellently developed tram network and all kinds of offers and shopping opportunities. There is a lot to discover and you can spend a few days in the city.

    SUMMARY

Chile is one of my favorite countries because the nature and the landscape are really extraordinary. You can travel very cheaply locally and the infrastructure is good. Winter in particular is a very good time for a trip to the north of Chile. But there is so much more to discover in Chile - I will definitely come again.
