As part of my internship abroad in Barcelona, my parents visited me for 5 days and I showed them the city. We did almost everything on foot or use the subway.

General Information
There is so much to see in Barcelona that you can spend several weeks there. But even in a week you can discover the main attractions of the city. In general, you should beware of the numerous pickpockets.

Very nice and new hotel with a great breakfast buffet. Very centrally located so that you can walk to many sights
Activities and Sights
Plaça de Catalunya, Plaça de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain
Placa Catalunya is the central square in the city center. It is lined with shops and the start of the famous Las Ramblas
La Rambla, Barcelona, Spain
The Ramblas is a promenade in the center which is lined with numerous shops. It leads from Placa Catalunya to the port. Beware of pickpockets!
La Pedrera, Passeig de Gracia, Barcelona, Spain
It is best to buy tickets online beforehand to reduce waiting times. Although the entrance fee is expensive, it's well worth a visit!
Parc Güell, Barcelona, Spain
Very nice park! The famous terrace is chargeable and you should book the tickets online in advance. You can walk to a lookout point that has a great view of the city. The park can be easily reached by underground or bus.
Font Màgica de Montjuïc, Plaça de Carles Buïgas, Barcelona, Spain
The fountain is at Placa Espanya (train station). You should definitely go there on Friday evenings! The famous fountain show made of light, water and music takes place here.

Very nice park to stroll and linger.
Beach day at Barceloneta
The beach in Barcelona is very long and you can always find a place. You can also take a nice walk along the promenade. Metro station: Barceloneta

A day trip to this viewpoint is definitely worth it. The first route can be covered by train. Then you have to take a bus.
Montjuïc, Barcelona, Spain

Old town barcelona
There is a lot to discover in the small narrow streets and the beautiful squares in the city center of Barcelona. Above all, one should stroll through the districts of el Raval and Barrio Gótico.

Breathtaking church that has to be seen! Despite the steep price. Buy tickets online beforehand!
La Paradeta Sagrada Família, Passatge de Simó, Barcelona, Spain
Great fish restaurant! If you can speak a bit of Spanish you should definitely eat here. You order the fish / seafood stating in grams and say how you would like it to be prepared (e.g. grilled, deep-fried, etc.) The restaurant is more like a cantine and you have to get your food yourself after calling your number.

I will definitely go to Barcelona again because the city has so much to offer that you can't get bored. The flair of Barcelona is something very special!
